Support for families

At Ley Top Primary School we have a Pastoral Team who are available to provide a wide range of support to families. Our Pastoral Team are:

Mrs Kelly - Pastoral Manager and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Smart - Pastoral and Achievement Mentor

Mrs Kelly's role

Mrs Kelly works closely with families and other professionals and agencies to support the welfare of the whole family.

Liaises with Safeguarding Agencies to provide guidance and support.

Signposts families to other supporting agencies.

Works directly with children to promote welfare.

Mrs Smart's role

Mrs Smart is available to support with Mentoring  - removing barriers to learning and promoting the welfare of students by working directly in small groups and individually.

Supporting families with attendance challenges to ensure that children are in school every day.

 

Useful websites

Bradford and District Care NHS Foundation Trust have a Mental Health Support Team who offer Parent and Carer Support groups. Each half-term, they focus on a different wellbeing topic inspired by the Five Ways to Wellbeing.

The NHS has recently launched a Best Start in Life website which contains advice on pregnancy, babies and supporting your toddler's development. You can also find out about childcare and education support too!
